"The Long Trail is an invitation - Mountain high and tree embowered - A free open and easy path that begins where Vermont begins . . . "

Trips

The Green Mountain Club really is a club. We get together for fun company and to show each other the cool outdoor adventures we have discovered.

Between all of the GMC Sections, there is an outdoor recreation trip running pretty much every weekend of the year.

You do not have to be a Club member to go along - everyone is always welcome.

Trips are all led by Section members who want to share a favorite spot or teach an outdoor activity they know about. While we all like to hike of course, especially along the Sterling Ridge, our actual trips tend to go broader than that. Past trips have included canoeing, biking, skiing, and the famous sledding parties of yore which we are hoping someone will revive.

Trips are low key, just call up the leader and tell them that you are coming. There is no cost.

We look forward to meeting you!
