Outdoor minded folks who like to get together to hike, ski and explore the mountains . . .
. . . who also enjoy working in the woods, keeping alive old time skills while taking care of local hiking trails and camping shelters . . .
. . . that's the Sterling Section.
We are the local chapter of the Green Mountain Club in north/central Vermont - people who live in (or just enjoy visiting!) the towns of Morristown and Johnson; as well as Stowe, Cambridge, and surrounding area.
We go out on trips 6 - 12 weekends each year - sometimes a recreational trip, sometimes a trail maintenance trip, always just for fun. Everyone is welcome to come along (you don't have to be a member of the Green Mountain Club.)
GMC's 110th Annual Meeting is going virtual! Due to the impacts of COVID-19, GMC's Annual Meeting

As you may know, Sterling Section was scheduled to cohost the 2020 GMC Annual Meeting with the Laraway and
Northern Frontier Sections. We will instead co-host the 2021 meeting, so stay tuned for info on how to get involved!
